A painterly approach completely transforms the appearance of what used to be a conventional low-lying 1950's bungalow. Stained horizontal siding wraps the preexisting, and badly deteriorated brick, dividing the home into two main elements. The double garage door is brought into the composition using the same material, while a stucco finish is punctuated with windows and trims framed in brushed aluminum. The entrance is given the appropriate emphasis and elegance with a new floating canopy that is treated with a natural cedar soffit intersected by a Japanese-inspired, detailed column.
